Got Jerk! Island Grill

I've been 3 times and everytime it was a great experience! They people are very friendly and willing to let you taste things bc I was u sure about the juices I liked or didn't like. There is no long wait and the vibes are so welcoming. Food is delicious and flavorful. We had Jerk chicken and also the oxtails with rice and peas were really good. Would definitely recommend. Not a fancy dress up kinda spot but a cool vibe local good food kinda spot.

The place is under new ownership recently. We got to meet the owner, who is kind and passionate about the food and culture. The restaurant itself has a fun atmosphere with beautiful Jamaican decor and good vibes. The stuff is friendly and attentive. The food and juices are incredible! We tried the pineapple & ginger, sorrel, mango & pineapple, got jerk punch, Caribbean beets, and strawberry & basil lemonade and all of them were incredible! Each had a unique taste packed with flavor and incredibly fresh. While it was difficult to choose our favorites amongst the many we tried, I think I'd have to pick the strawberry & basil lemonade and the got jerk punch as the top two with the Caribbean beets as a close third. You really can't go wrong with any of them though. We also ate the oxtail and jerk chicken. Both were absolutely immaculate. Very authentic, packed with flavor, and the meats were both spectacularly tender, falling off the bone. We also tried the jerk marinade, the hot n tasty Caribbean BBQ, the pineapple calypso, and buffalo Soulja. Another tough choice to make because none of these disappointed in the slightest; each so delicious. We ended up taking home the jerk marinade and the hot n tasty Caribbean BBQ. I cannot recommend this place enough. You can taste the love and attention into every single thing they make and it truly is worth it to try.

Excellent food, friendly staff. My boyfriend is Jamaican so he can attest to the quality of food. We stop here at least once each week. Our favorites are curry chicken, ox tail, plantains & beef patties. The juices are made fresh while you wait and taste great! Will continue supporting this small business and highly reccommend to others!

This place is amazing! I had the Jerk Mac and some Spicy Beef Patties. The patties were nice, crispy, and flavorful. The Jerk Mac is a 10/10 HANDS DOWN!! Their Pineapple Mango juice is very delicious as well you can tell that the fruit is fresh not frozen and made as you order. The atmosphere is nice and my server was very friendly. I highly recommend this place. I know I will be back!

Plantains and the juice is very delicious. Good authentic spicy Jamaican food here. Recently I had a jerk chicken burrito here and it was amazing. Sandwiches are very good here. Mac n cheese is also good, literally can't go wrong going here. Anything you get will be delicious. :)

I finally got to visit yesterday and the experience was amazing. The juices and beverages are delicious, so healthy and refreshing. The food was INCREDIBLE, the flavour were just amazing and left us all feeling great. The bartender/chef was so friendly and told us about all the drinks and food on the menu. The music and energy was great. We all felt like we were on vacation! If you are visiting Harrisburg - stopping here is a MUST!

The Sorrel is sooo good! The perfect mixture of sweet & tangy in a refreshing drink with a lovely amount of ginger & hibiscus. The food has large portions & gorgeously fresh, I ordered the Jerk chicken platter, small mac & cheese, extra plantains, & the calypso bread! the beef patties were given to us as a curtesy! The flavor is amazing & let me tell you that butter bread was DELICIOUS! it's a house-made recipe & really recommend it, a nice little sweet treat I saved as desert! They opened a store front location in Harrisburg so come visit!

This place is shared with a gas station but don't let it fool you! The food was amazing I had Jerk Chicken Mac n Cheese, Beef patty and wings! They had a load of customers and still were able to make my food in decent time! Definitely recommend calling in for a shorter wait time. I was only there for 10-15 mins though. But I highly recommend them! Go and taste !

Stop the car, y'all! If you're driving through Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, you need to make a pit stop at Got Jerk! Island Grill, located inside a freakin' Sunoco gas station. I mean, who needs a fancy restaurant when you can chow down on some delicious Jamaican cuisine while filling up your tank? I was on my way to Washington DC from Ottawa when I heard about this place and planned my whole route around it. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The owner and staff were super kind and accommodating when I asked for a mix of dishes so I could try a little bit of everything without getting stuffed. I ended up getting the oxtail with rice and peas, plantain, cabbage, and a piece of jerk. And let me tell you, every bite was like a party in my mouth. The rice had just a hint of coconut milk, the chicken was perfectly cooked and spiced, and the oxtail was so tender and juicy, I had to close my eyes to fully enjoy it. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a little adventure and a whole lot of flavor. The chef at Got Jerk! Island Grill knows what they're doing, and they're doing it inside a gas station - I mean, who knew? So the next time you need to fill up your tank and your belly, make a stop at this little slice of heaven. Who needs Michelin stars when you've got a Sunoco gas station with some seriously good food?
